It's been awhile. . .

Today's post has two topics. I know it's been a while since I've blogged, but I have no excuse. Today's first topic is rain. When it rains it pours and I ain't talkin' about those little, wet gifts from the sky that your inadequate, cracked windshield wipers try so hard to fight off. I'm talking something else. It is summertime so I guess its appropriate, but where in the hell did all these tanned, sexy-ass guys come from?!? I'm just overwhelmed! We really should thank someone, I don't know who, for all the hard bodies running around and sweating and drinking and working in the hot sun and lifting things and wearing their shorts just a little too low and glistening from sweat and looking all bronzed and bleached. Whoa, I need a minute. . . . If I were a Christian woman I'd thank God, but I really believe that I should thank something a little more sinful. Like cable TV.

Today's second topic is another Quote of the Day, Week, Whatever. . .
I recently went on an informal date with another couple. I had a good enough time and was interested enough in the guy but what really put me over the edge was his way of figuring out who should pay for the check at dinner. In all of his eloquence, he simply looked me in the eyes with a slight, playful grin and said,
"You can put your shit on mine if you want. I don't care. I'll pay for your shit."
And those little words were all I needed.
